FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THE SCHOOL BY EXPERIENCING IT YOURSELF
Due to COVID-19 and restrictions in the UK we are currently unable to hold our usual Open Day events at the studios for perspective students, however, you can experience the School from the comfort of your home.
In December we hosted our first 'Virtual Open Day' which featured an introduction to the course from the School’s Principal and Course Coordinator, followed by taster classes in Classical Conditioning and Ballet. After the sample classes, prospective dancers joined students of the School for a Q and A to find out from personal experiences what life is like at the School, studying towards a BA (Hons) in Ballet Performance as well as all the other exciting things that happen throughout the School Year.
Usually within the Open Day perspective students are able to tour the studios with a current student to see first hand the environment they will be learning in both in the studio and academically. As this is not possible we have created a short 'Studio Tour' which was presented to students at the Virtual Open Day.
In addition, participants would usually get a tour of the Student Accommodation. To ensure everyone still had the same experience four of our current students hosted a digital tour, following their short walk from the studio to their apartment via the high street in Hinckley.
Participants of the Open Day have said,
"What a fantastic open day today! Thoroughly enjoyed myself and I am even more excited to begin training with BTUK in the future! Definitely had a good time today, thank you again! "
"Thanks to the students and staff for an insightful day. It was great to experience classes and learn more about the school, the BA course and the accommodation"
Perspective students can attend an audition at the School, as well as submit a digital audition if they are unable to attend the studio in person.
